Sunday School resumes Sunday, January 8th
Many thanks to all who participated in Sankta Lucia and assisted with the service. We had a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Light of the Season, the Light of Christ through Lucia and Nicholas. Congratulations to Samantha and Robert who were selected to serve as our Lucia Queen and Boy Bishop

FAQ's and thoughts about Christian Education at St. Luke's
We offer one session at 9:20 that will correspond with 9:30 worship service. Classes begin Sunday after Labor Day, the second Sunday of June
What age should I start my child in Sunday School?
We begin Sunday School class at age 3 years until the 6th grade. Children are welcome to begin when they and their parents feel they are ready.
How are the classes broken up?
Each class is within it's own grade. We offer a Nursery, Pre K, Kindergarten, grade 1 ,2 ,3, 4, 5, and 6.
What if my child is in an older grade can they still come to Sunday School?
Absolutely, it's never too late. Speak to the Director and proper placement will be made. Children up to grade 6 will be placed in the same grade they are in.
What grade is 1st Holy Communion?
1st Communion is received in May of the 4th grade. Instruction is given in Sunday School during the year and in late April during 2 classes, 3 hours long each by the Pastors.
What if my child is older than 4th grade and never received Holy Communion?
Depending on your child's age either they can receive in May with the class, or complete individualized instruction and receive on any given Sunday throughout the year. Contact director for details.
What if my child is under 3 years old, what can I do?
We offer babysitting, or toddler care during the 9:30 service only for any child who is under the age of 3.
