High School Girls Class meets next on Tuesday, March 6th at 6:45 pm. Classes will now be held on the first Tuesday of the month.
SPRING RETREAT: 8th grade confirmation and High School mark your calendars for April 27-29 at Camp Quinipet Shelter Island. Details from Karen or Mark.
HELP FOR THE HUNGRY: So far for the month of February we have collected over 200 lbs. of food. A very special thank you goes out to our Youth Group who ran Souper Bowl Sunday. They collected 51 cans of soup. We continue to collect food. Together we can and have made a difference. There is a box in the Undercroft and in the Fellowship Hall where you may leave your donations.
Lutheran Social Services Children's Corner: Many items are urgently needed to supply this section of the pantry. The following items are needed: Baby socks, bibs, stretchies (all sizes), new/gently used clothing, bottles, diapers, wipes, baby shampoo and lotion, baby cereal and food. LENTEN PROGRAM SCHEDULE: Take note of the new schedule for this year:
Ash Wednesday Eucharist (Feb. 22): 10:15 am and 7:30 pm
Midweek worship: 10:15 am and 7:30 pm, begins Feb. 29
Lenten Study: Sundays immediately following the 11:00 service, beginning Feb. 26. Plan to join us for lunch, study, and children's programming. The study's topic: "Church for Dummies," everything you always wanted to know but were afraid to ask. Registration forms are available in Sunday's bulletin or contact Karen at karenwstlukes@verizon.net.
VOICE DEADLINE: The next edition of the Voice will be out in early March. The deadline for articles is Tuesday, Feb. 21st. Send them to Cheryl Parisi at heajam@optonline.net.
